So yesterday I was on my way to a job interview in Massachusetts when my car stalled. (Fortunately, I was stopped in traffic at the time.) After I got out of the interview, I noticed that the light on the A/C button was blinking, something I’ve never seen it do before. (The A/C is used for the defroster, which I tend to have on a lot in cold weather to keep the windows unfogged.) I stopped at a rest stop on the way home and, when I got back in the car, I noticed that having the defroster on was causing something to shake badly.
Yeah, not good.
It looks like my car’s air compressor is shot. I think that’s what the owner of the service shop said when I talked to him. I dropped the car off earlier this morning so he could have his people look at it… and he called me later to tell me that it would cost around $1000-1100 to replace.
Yeahhhhhhhhh, not happening this week.
At least the car’s drivable. I just can’t use the defroster or air conditioner.

I know not all of my readers are Christians, but I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter. He is risen!
Here’s a poem and a song for the occasion.

I know I said I was going to try to blog more here. I keep forgetting that doing so requires, y’know… blogging.
I’ll get right on that. Promise.
In the meantime, consider this post an opportunity to say hi, tell me how much you’ve missed my blogging, make snarky (and fully-deserved) comments about my blogging habits, complain about the default WordPress theme, wonder who the heck I am and how you wound up in this dark corner of the internet, place bets as to how long it’ll be before my next post, and, of course, plug your own blog.
(I’m going to regret this, I just know it…)

So, here we are. Again.
It seems that, when it comes to blogging regularly, I’ve had more false starts in the past few years than actual, regular blogging. Let’s see if I can turn that around here.
If anything, I’m in need of an outlet for my writing — something that allows me to get the thoughts in my head into a written form. Blogging is an excellent tool for that, of course, but I really haven’t put much effort into it in a while. WordPress.com and LiveJournal were a nice temptation, but not being able to control the look of the blog or which features it had never sat well with this web designer/developer. I guess you could say it was a pride issue.
Here, though, I have a new beginning, albeit one with a familiar URL. Hopefully I will seize the opportunity and run with it.
