Data Technology develops and installs CAD/CAM automation products for companies in the package design industry.
At the time I began work on the site in 2004, Data Technology (a customer of FCG Networks) needed updates made to its website. Unfortunately, that necessitated a cleaning-up of the existing HTML, similiar to the "Stage 1" FCG Networks website. Under the direction of FCG's Jeff Gore, I recoded the entire site, putting an emphasis on minimizing the amount of markup required.
Some of the improvements I was making required changing all of the filename extensions to enable the server feature I needed to use. The site's existing Flash-based navigation bar, however, had the original filenames hard-coded into it... and the source file for the Flash movie was "lost to the sands of time." Fortunately, I was able to use an .htaccess file to redirect all of the links in the navbar.
Note: The site was completely redesigned in 2006 by Data Technology's advertising agency, without my involvement.
